A Special Gift from a Passionate Family!
Two dining cars in the Heiner’s Hallway of Hope at the Hoops Family Children’s Hospital have been named in honor of Jefferey and Amber Biederman in recognition of their generous donation to Hoops.
Dedicated in 2016, the Hallway of Hope is the main corridor leading into the Children’s Hospital. Its train-themed dining cars enable families to talk, eat, and play games together.
Jeff has a heart for the Children’s Hospital because of his health issues as a child, which required hospitalization. He says the reason the Tri-State Area has rallied around the Children’s Hospital is because it is a first-class facility, drawing some of the nation’s best doctors to Huntington.
“We have always supported organizations that support children,” Jeff says. “Besides being a financial game changer for most families, the fact that children can get top-notch care locally is so important.”
The Biedermans’ support is truly a family affair that includes children Jefferey and Anna. The youngsters spurred the formation of the “Biederman Dog Walk” to benefit the Children’s Hospital. With the starting line near Huntington’s well-known Memorial Arch and continuing through Ritter Park, this annual, fun-filled event has raised money for Hoops since 2013. The funds come from a minimum $20-per-dog donation from participants.
A financial advisor with Morgan Stanley Wealth Management, Jeff Biederman has more than 20 years of experience with the Huntington office. In the spring of 2019, he was named to the company’s Master’s Club. This honor recognizes consistent creativity and excellence in providing a wide range of investment products and wealth management services to clients.
Amber is a homemaker who is involved in numerous endeavors to benefit the community. Among the charities she and Jeff support are Big Brothers Big Sisters.
