Our Foundations

A Family of Healthcare Foundations

There is an intricate relationship between a trio of lifestyle qualities: good health, happiness, and hope. When our health fails, the other elements in this delicate balance suffer.

The MHF Foundations spans seven organizations connected to the hospitals and healthcare entities that make up the Marshall Health Network. These foundations use the MHF identifier to avoid confusion with Marshall University, which maintains a separate foundation. The MHF group includes the Cabell Huntington Hospital Foundation, the St. Mary’s Medical Center Foundation, the Rivers Health Foundation, the Rivers Health Scholarship Foundation, FaithHealth Appalachia, PROACT, and Project Hope.

Regardless of their individual name, all members of the MHF Foundations are committed to improving the health and well-being of more than one million children and adults in the 23 county-region in West Virginia, southern Ohio, and eastern Kentucky we call Central Appalachia.

Through our Foundations, we provide the means for friends like you to play a role in helping meet the unique needs of the residents of our region. Through a variety of special programs and the unique missions of the MHN Foundations, you can play a significant role in the lives of individuals and families who need exceptional medical care, from birth to the end of life and through all the complications in between.
