2025 Junior Captains Announced!
Marshall University and United Bank have once again joined together to support Hoops Family Children’s Hospital through the United for Hoops program.
This continued partnership provides local pediatric patients the opportunity to serve as “Junior Captains” during each home game of the 2025 MU football season. Each junior captain will be a guest of honor during a scheduled MU football practice, where they will receive a tour of the stadium and facilities and have an opportunity to meet the team before the game.
During the game, the Junior Captain and their family will be a guest of honor, and the Junior Captain will assist in centerfield with the coin toss at the beginning of the game!
Throughout the 2025 football season, United Bank has pledged to donate $10 for every point MU scores, benefitting patients at HFCH.

All Junior Captains also serve as Hoops Ambassadors! Hoops Ambassadors are a group of pediatric patients from Hoops Family Children’s Hospital who have been nominated by their caregivers in recognition of their incredible courage and resilience when faced with medical challenges.
