Philanthropy, simply defined, is the desire to promote the welfare of others. Founded in 2000, the Women’s Philanthropy Society was formed under a simple idea – that anyone can be a philanthropist. By giving of themselves through gifts of time, talent and treasure, this prestigious and impactful group of women has continued to support the mission of their Society for over two decades, steadfastly continuing to better our community, our hospitals and the communities they serve.

We can think of no better way to celebrate than to pay homage to the history of this group, take note of its impact in our community and look to the future and the next generation that will continue the important work and mission of the Women’s Philanthropy Society. Throughout its history, this dedicated group of women has raised over $450,000 in support for women’s and children’s related needs at Cabell Huntington Hospital and Hoops Family Children’s Hospital through many gifts such as specialty robes for mastectomy patients, pediatric-specific equipment and funding for mammograms for uninsured and under-insured women.

Register early – this event will sell out!

One hundred percent of your donation goes to meet the needs of women and children in our region.
