Peanut Butter Energy Balls Recipe

Hard to believe that something so tasty can be so good, but every one of the ingredients in this recipe is healthy. Take peanut butter, which is loaded with vitamins, minerals and nutrients. Or oats, which are a good source of high-quality protein. Flaxseed contains protein, fiber and omega 3 fatty acids. Honey can reduce the risk of heart disease, calm the digestive tract, and relieve anxiety. Just one warning: don’t eat too many of these at one sitting.

  • 2/3 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 cup old fashioned oats
  • 1/2 cup ground flaxseed
  • 2 tablespoons honey

  1. Combine all 5 ingredients in a medium bowl. Stir to combine. Place in the refrigerator for 15-30 minutes so they are easier to roll.
  2. Roll into 12 bites and store in the fridge for up to a week.
