A Special Gift to Hoops Children’s Hospital

Several employees at City National Bank in Huntington are passionately focused on saving and enhancing the lives of children. That’s because many saw the care and compassion first hand at Hoops Family Children’s Hospital at Cabell Huntington Hospital. They watched the staff take care of their sons and daughters and supported giving a generous gift of $50,000 for continued construction and needs of the hospital.

“City National Bank is proud to support the Hoops Family Children’s Hospital,” said Carl E. Bowen, executive vice president and region retail manager at City National Bank. “City is committed to investing in the communities where our customers and employees live and work. This important facility is vital to providing quality health care for children and families throughout the region.”

Bowen, along with several employees from the bank presented the check on Sept. 30 and toured the new Treatment and Diagnostic Center.

“We are so thankful City National Bank donates to Hoops Family Children’s Hospital.  The bank leadership and employees have a long-standing partnership with us.  They were there at the start — even before the children’s hospital became a reality,” said Kristi Arrowood, director of development at Cabell Huntington Hospital’s Foundation. “Their investment truly reflects a dedication to our communities’ children and families throughout the Tri-State region.”

Headquartered in Charleston, WV, the bank has 85 locations throughout West Virginia, Kentucky, Virginia and Ohio. Founded in 1957, City Holding, the parent company of City National Bank, today employs approximately 875 professionals.
