Bob Welty

Bob Welty serves as Market President for Fifth Third Bank. In his role, Bob coordinates business development and decision-making activities for the bank’s Retail, Commercial and Wealth and Asset Management divisions in West Virginia.

Bob has more than 30 years of financial services experience. Prior to this role, he was Senior Vice President of the bank’s Wealth and Asset Management division. He joined the bank in 2004 as head of Fifth Third Private Bank. Prior to Fifth Third, Bob held various senior management positions in the financial services industry.

He was named to the inaugural class of West Virginia Executive Magazine’s “Sharpshooters,”symbolic of the top business leaders who make West Virginia a better place to live, work and grow, in 2016. Additionally, in 2018 he was named “Who’s Who in WV Business” by the WV State Journal Magazine. Bob recently received the Fifth Third Bank Summit Award the company’s highest award for teamwork and collaboration.

Bob is a graduate of the University of Charleston and has completed numerous financial services designations.
