Journey has faced several health challenges over the years, including asthma, food allergies, and gastrointestinal issues. When her gastrointestinal issues became more serious, she received care at Hoops Family Children’s Hospital and showed incredible bravery through a difficult experience. Her family is grateful for the compassionate nurses and doctors who helped Journey feel comfortable, supported, and confident throughout her care.
A fifth grader at Kellogg Elementary, Journey loves volleyball, Young Sheldon, grapes, and cotton candy ice cream from Austin’s. She is a huge KATSEYE fan and loves collecting Squishies and Crazy Aaron’s putty. She also enjoys making Squishies videos and learning German and Mandarin on Duolingo. As a Hoops Ambassador, Journey is helping raise awareness and support for the Pediatric Gastrointestinal Department and Child Life at Hoops Family Children’s Hospital.
