About Hannah & Joshua
Joshua loves helping with yard work and “fixing” cars. He has a deep love for books, likes to draw and paint, and can play chess. His favorite activity, though, is karate!
Joshua has a rare genetic condition called Li-Fraumeni Syndrome requiring him to be frequently monitored through scans and physicals to ensure he is healthy. “His care team at Hoops Family Children’s Hospital has always made him feel welcomed and loved,” said Joshua’s mom. Joshua is naturally curious, and with all the positive interactions he has had with his care team, he has developed a fascination with the medical world. Maybe he will be a doctor one day!
Hannah is a fun two-year-old, who loves to have dance parties! She enjoys playing outside, exploring nature, and swimming.
At just six months old, Hannah was diagnosed with adrenocortical carcinoma. During her treatment, she was also diagnosed with the same rare genetic condition as her brother, Josh, Li-Fraumeni Syndrome. “Although Hannah had to endure extremely difficult situations, her providers at Hoops Family Children’s Hospital did everything they could to ensure she felt safe, cared for, and loved,” said Hannah’s mom.
Fun fact about Hannah: She loves to play jokes on people to make them laugh!
As Hoops Ambassadors, Hannah and Josh are raising support for kids who are also patients at Hoops Family Children’s Hospital.
