About Elsie
Elsie is a 5-year-old kindergartener, who loves her church family, attending Bible class, and sings hymns at any time the mood strikes! Her favorite activity is playing with dolls. She is currently obsessed with Star Wars, especially Darth Vader.
Elsie was diagnosed with Stage 4, high-risk neuroblastoma in October 2022. “From her diagnosis all the way through the end of treatment, the care team at Hoops Family Children’s Hospital went out of their way to make hospital stays as fun as possible for Elsie,” said Elsie’s mom. Being able to do most of Elsie’s treatment close to home and have their support system nearby was so helpful to Elsie’s family.
Elsie got to ring the bell in March 2024, signifying that she is cancer free, after scans showed no evidence of the disease!
A little fun fact about Elsie: She can touch her nose with her tongue! As a Hoops Ambassador, Elsie is dedicated to raising awareness and support for the pediatric oncology department at Hoops Family Children’s Hospital.
