About Caitlin
Caitlin was injured in an ATV accident in July 2024, resulting in a spinal cord fracture and dislocation and several other injuries to her body. She has had many surgeries since her accident and is making new advances in her recovery process—constantly beating goals faster than the time set by her therapists! “Hoops Family Children’s Hospital’s pediatric staff has been amazing,” said Caitlin’s mom. “Her child life specialist stayed with her for hours in the emergency room, checked up on her, and even brought things for her younger brother to do and play with to keep him occupied and happy.”
Caitlin has beaten her 3-5% chance of survival from her accident – a fact she is very proud of! She loves to share her recovery journey on TikTok, enjoys crafting, and hopes to one day work in the medical field! As a Hoops Ambassador, Caitlin is dedicated to raising awareness and funds for pediatric neurology at Hoops Family Children’s Hospital.
