Braxton began experiencing muscle weakness, tightness, and coordination challenges as an infant. As he grew older, his family noticed he struggled with balance and staying steady on his feet. In 2026, after months of leg pain that eventually made it difficult for him to walk, Braxton began physical therapy at HFCH’s Outpatient Rehabilitation Center. With the help of Stephanie Schlemmer, PT, Braxton has grown stronger, more confident, and is once again able to enjoy being a kid.
Now a kindergartner at Nichols Elementary, Braxton loves riding his scooter, watching Bluey, and making people laugh. He loves sharks, grapes, vanilla ice cream, and dreams of becoming a police officer when he grows up. As a Hoops Ambassador, Braxton is excited to help raise awareness and support Pediatric Physical Therapy, where he has learned that being strong means believing in yourself, too.
